Community Resources

Bikeville logo

Bikeville is the City of Greenville's bicycle friendly community initiative. The goal of Bikeville is to increase ridership, encourage bicycle use, expand bicycling facilities, and provide useful educational resources to cyclists and motorists to share the road.

Greenville Health System (GHS) Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 17.5 mile multi-use trail system that runs along the Reedy River connecting Greenville County with schools, parks, and local businesses. The GHS Swamp Rabbit will continue to grow throughout the county offering fun, non-motorized recreation and transportation opportunities wherever it goes.

Bike Skills Flow Park    The first park featuring a high thrill, low risk pump track – next to the baseball field in the northwestern section of Gateway Park. This initial flow feature loosely follows a free figure-8 design and allows for multiple riders to ride at a time. Bikers just getting started will have a chance to get the hang of off-road biking and get comfortable with the sport before heading to Paris Mountain State Park (SC) or DuPont State Forest (NC) . Experienced bikers will appreciate some of the more challenging features and the chance to hone their bike handling skills right in town.

Summer Reading Information

Safe Kids Upstate

Safe Kids Upstate's mission is to prevent accidental childhood injury. Safe Kids Upstate educates children and families about bicycle safety in three ways. Interactive bike rodeos teach children how to ride a bike responsibly. When participating in a rodeo, children ride through an obstacle course while learning: rules of safety; proper bike maintenance; and how to wear a helmet properly. Participants receive a bike license upon completion.

Family Fun

The 250m world-class Giordana Velodrome is part of the Rock Hill Outdoor Center at Riverwalk. This facility, endorsed by USA Cycling, will host national and UCI caliber events while introducing the local community to the Olympic sport of track cycling through a variety of rider development and outreach programs.
